For this unit of Forbidden Books we focused censorship of books. Censorship is the act of silencing content that you don't agree with. most people censor content that are in direct completion with their morals. Tor most of the class we used Socrates as an example of how the Athenian government censored him. luckily his teaching were written down and preserved. after his death his philosophy effected western philosophy. one of the things that he invented is the Socratic dialog were you question someone to get to the point of someones opinion. here is an example: Character #1: As I was saying, the war on drugs was Nixon trying to throw black men into jail.  Character #2:Um excuse me, I believe that the 1970s-80s War on Drugs was not a war on Black people.  You must be crazy. #1: You don’t think the  War on Drugs was an attack on black people? #2: I believe that it’s a war on drugs because there was a problem with drugs, and it needed to be controlled. ...

This class called Redesigning the future we focused on finding new innovations to mitigate and later solve climate change all building up to creating our own innovation. to gain experience learning about the design process from others. some of the field experiences that stand out are the one where we went to an aquaponics farm where we learned about how to make a self sustaining system. and when we when to a zoo and learned about the thought and care that went into habits as for the main areas we are trying to improve they break down into transport, agriculture, buildings, manufacturing, and electricity my project focuses on a less resource hungry manufacturing process and reduction of oil use. after working on this project i have learned about the struggles of designing anything let alone making the "perfect" product and trying to make something far out of our reach but it was fun learning about something that genuinely interested me.

For this Action project I had to take a small set of randomly picked cats and had to theorize abut what how a different setting would effect the cats generations down the line based off of traits the original cats had. For the class we learned about evolution and how mutations through out generations can effect spices in the long run.

For this project we had to find an example of the heroes journey in fiction and in real life. The heroes' journey is split into eight parts and two halves. One half is the ordinary world or what the hero considers normal. The other half is the special world which can be a physical, emotional or social place. The start of the heroes' journey is The Call to adventure, pretty much the hero being beckoned to adventure. The second event is meeting the mentor. The mentor will give the hero the proper guidance to over come any obstructions that the hero encounters. The Trials are the obstructions that the hero encountered. The Abyss is the lowest point that the hero encounters usually caused by failure of some sort. The Rebirth is when the hero is given another chance after hitting their lowest point. For this project we had to write a fable. A fable is a short story that uses animals as characters with the intent of teaching the reader a lesson. The reason why anthropomorphism or personified animals are used is to establish traits of the character without stating it in the story. In developing my fable, I first picked the moral of the story. I chose the beaver as one of the characters because of the patient and hard working traits and I choose a hare because of their trait of being impatient. Next I thought up my conflict, setting, mood and tone of the story. After I made the first draft, I had someone review it I used the feed back in this final draft. An origin story is the explanation of how places, objects, or ideas, became to be. origin stories have a lot of power in many cultures and all religions usually being the best known, most influential, or most referenced stories. The best known origin stories are the ones that tell how the world was created or other universal effects. Origin stories and stories in general are used to explain the unknown such as the creation of the world, the creation of life & humans. To help with relating the usually massive and other worldly events, similes and metaphors are used in the stories. Similes and metaphors are used as a story telling device to help with u nderstanding by stating two objects are similar or the same. For the first unit of our population class we spent our time learning how to do Set notation. set notation is the mathimaticly correct way to write out collections of items all the way from different galaxys or in this case traits of an organism. every set is defined by a letter and for this foxes traits i used the letter F.  For this project, I decided to study a Fennec Fox ( Lupus zerda ). A Fennec Fox is a very small species of fox that lives in the African dessert. Their most recognizable trait is the large ears. Standing at a height of 8 inches the fox must catch small or bird eggs to feed their carnivorous diet. Similar to wolves they work together in packs. The small size and only weapon being their small jaw, they are at the bottom of the food chain. Thus to keep the numbers high they are borne in groups of 2-5 kits per litter.
